Application Dates
Submitting your application early will help process it faster and guide your study plan at enrolment.
2008 Spring Semester Application
(July to
November)
• 1st round application closes 30 May
• UTS start assessing applications early
June
• 2nd round application closes 30 June
• Final applications closed 4 July
• Classes start from 28-July-2008
2009 Autumn Semester Application
(February to June)
• Application opens in September 2008
• Final

Only available to current students, Summer
Session enables one to fast-track their study by taking up to 2 subjects.

If Prior Qualification Required:
- Certified Copy of official Academic Transcript or record of study.
- NOTE: Grade Point Average Requirement.
- Certified Copy of Proof of Qualification Completion (if not already stated on academic transcript). Note: If you cannot obtain proof of completion in time for application then you can submit your application without. If your application meets UTS entry requirements, you will be sent a conditional placement offer on the proviso that proof is received.
- Evidence of Citizenship (Australian or New Zealand) or Australian permanent residency. This could include a certified copy of any of the following: Birth Certificate; title page of Australian/New Zealand Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or a visa giving permanent residency.
- Current Resume outlining academic history (and employment history if any). Note: If your course does not require work experience you will not be penalised for having no experience. However, your academic & employment history will enable us to better understand your needs.
- NOTE: Work References or a letter from your employer are
ONLY required for courses that specify work experience as an entry requirement,
otherwise these documents are not required.
- NOTE: If you seek subject exemption for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) also include Relevant RPL documents.
- NOTE: Also see checklist in Application Form
If Relevant Work Experience Required:
- Current Resume outlining your academic and employment history.
- Recent Letter from Employer on company letter head confirming your length of employment, position held and duties involved etc. If letter does not provide this information then also include Work References that confirm your experience.
- Evidence of Citizenship (Australian or New Zealand) or
Australian permanent residency. This could include a certified
copy of any of the following: Birth Certificate; title page of Australian/New
Zealand Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or a visa giving permanent residency.
- If you don't have a degree/postgraduate qualification, then include evidence of a general capacity to undertake tertiary education (i.e. work references, TAFE/short course statements of attainment etc.)

If Prior Education Conducted Overseas:
If your prior education was conducted overseas and you don't meet the English
language proficiency requirements located in the Application
Form, then you need to complete an English
Language Test. Note: If you cannot obtain proof
of English Proficiency in time for application then you can submit your application
without. If your application meets UTS entry requirements, you will be sent
a conditional placement offer on the proviso that proof is received.
Document Certification:
As per above Application Checklist, UTS require certified
copies of official documents. UTS can certify your documents if you attend an
information evening
or visit our Student

Assessment of Your Application
If you want UTS receipt of your application to be acknowledged, please ensure you complete the "Acknowledgement of Application" section in the application form.
Once you submit your application and UTS have started assessing applications in early November for Autumn Semester or late May/early June for Spring Semester, UTS then need approx 2-4 weeks to assess your application.
Once your application has been assessed UTS will then advise on the status of your application. If your application is successful, you will receive a placement offer with information on how to accept the offer and enrol as a new student.
