About Business Network
In 1994 a number of MBA students felt that much more needed to be done to promote business networking amongst present, past and future students. Hence with the support of the Business Faculty they formed the UTS Business Network.
Our common link is that nearly all of our members hold either MBA or MBus qualifications attained at the UTS Graduate School of Business - the rest are current students enrolled in either of these two programs.
At the beginning of 2006 the Network has in excess of 600 members. This has increased from only 20 members in 1995.
Some of our members include:
Annemarie Kanturek
Joyce Yong
Robyn Cook
Ilker Kumlu
Welcome from Network President
As President of the Business Network's Executive Committee, and on behalf of the Graduate School of Business, I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with details of the Business Network's activities.
The Business Network consists of members who have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate business degree at UTS or are currently enrolled in the UTS Graduate School of Business. The operation of the group is structured to ensure that the potential networking benefits in undertaking a business degree at UTS are fully realised and continue well after graduation.
The Business Network encourages the formation of meaningful and commercially grounded relationships between international and national business communities and the UTS Faculty of Business. This best ensures that the services offered by the Business Faculty remain highly focused to the ever-changing requirements of its key stakeholders.
The objectives of the Business Network and the strategies to achieve them are briefly described.
We invite you to apply for membership. International students are also encouraged to join-there are many existing members living and working overseas countries including Thailand, Hong Kong/China, Indonesia, Taiwan (ROC), Vietnam, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, UK, India and New Zealand.
Upon joining the Business Network you will continue receiving invitations to all seminars and events, and copies of the newsletter as well as all the services available through the University alumni program, UTS:GRADUATE CONNECTIONS.
