So how do you take a sales and marketing professional with a healthcare background and some event experience and turn them into a specialist marketing and event management consultant?

The UTS Master of Management in Event Management provided me a much deeper understanding of the principles and environment of event management. The skills and dedication of the teaching faculty is phenomenal and provides me with constant inspiration.

Doing this degree has allowed me to continue to embrace a passion for learning that has provided me the opportunity of meeting and learning with a great group of people who are equally as passionate about what they do in the event industry.

The best thing I can say about doing a Masters degree at UTS is 'go for it' - you will never regret the decision you made to enrol.

Currently, I am the Owner Director of Remark Pty Ltd (Website). Remark provides specialist Marketing and Event Management services to the healthcare and medical industry.

As an event management consultant I have had the privilege of managing professional conferences, educational road shows, exhibitions, and sponsorship programmes for a number of institutions and associations.

My experience includes sales and marketing management, product management, sales, education, clinical trial management, business and product development including Sales and Marketing Manager Australasia with Cochlear Limited.

I have been strategically involved in the local and international marketing campaigns for a number of high profile products for International and Australian companies.

In addition to this I am a double certificated Registered Nurse with Intensive Care Unit Management, nurse education and clinical services training experience, and have also worked in records management, hospitality and agriculture.

I have a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from Charles Sturt University which I completed in 1998 and am currently completing a Master of Management in Event Management at the University of Technology Sydney.
