GSB Subject Substitution
The following procedure for Subject Substitution (replacement of one subject for another) relates only to students currently studying at the UTS: Graduate School of Business (GSB).
To Apply for Subject Substitution
- Substitutions will only be granted if:
- There is an overlap of subjects between two sub majors
- There is a timetable clash
- The subject you require to complete in your program is not offered or is full in your last semester.
- You must apply for Subject Substitution BEFORE undertaking the subject.
- Core subjects cannot be substituted.
- Exemptions and subjects from previous UTS courses CANNOT normally be used as substitutions.
- Subject substitutions must be from a related field and fit into the structure of your course, major or sub-major.
- A maximum of one subject substitution in a sub-major or two subject substitutions in a major from the MBA may be granted.
- e-Requests for substitutions should be received at least 4 weeks before the start of the semester for intended study.
